The Axis Q8615-E is a 2-megapixel PTZ positioning camera that features a 1/2" inch sensor, ForensicWDR and Lightfinder technology. This enables the camera to produce sharp, clear images even in extreme low-light conditions. As well as this the camera provides a HDTV 1080p resolution and a 31x optical zoom to ensure the outstanding image quality users come to expect with Axis cameras.
The Q8615-E is ideal for use in both wide and long-distance surveillance applications and can be column-mounted, on poles or walls for continuous, unobstructed 360° panoramic video and ground-to-sky view from -90° ~ 45°. The unit is both IP66 weather-resistant and IK10 vandal-resistant, protecting the camera against both harsh outdoor weather conditions and vandal attempts.
This high-performance positioning camera comes with Axis Guard Suite analytics for detecting motion, intrusion, and loitering. Along with this, the Q8615-E offers an auto-tracking functionality and active gatekeeper automatically moves the camera to a preset position when motion is detected in a pre-defined area. Not only this but Axis Object Analytics can detect and classify people and vehicles and built-in cybersecurity features prevent unauthorised access and safeguard the system.
For efficient installation, the Q8615-E offers flexible cable management and it can be installed in a range of positions, on columns, poles, walls and corners. As well as this, thanks to an SFP slot the camera can support long-distance fibre connection which can help limit potential points of failure in your system.
Features Explained:
- WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) helps to ensure that camera images are usable and clear. In some scenes, there can be a contrast between the darkest and brightest spots in a scene, this can cause the image to be under or overexposed making it difficult, even impossible to identify objects and people. WDR technology can help rectify this issue, producing clear images regardless of difficult light scenarios.
- Zipstream preserves all the important forensic details users need whilst lowering storage and bandwidth requirements and costs but an average of 50%.
- Built-in Cybersecurity features have been created and applied to counter different types of cyber attacks, effectively battle vulnerabilities and prevent unauthorised access to users' systems. These features are able to detect firmware tampering and prevent device replacement, this safeguards the system and helps reduce the risk of digital attacks.
- Lightfinder delivers high-resolution, full-colour video with minimum motion blur even in near darkness. This technology is able to make dark areas in a scene visible and can capture details in very low light scenarios.
- Electronic Image Stabilisation provides smooth video in situations where a camera is subject to vibrations. Built-in gyroscopic sensors continuously detect the camera's movements and vibrations, and automatically adjusts the frame to ensure users always capture the details they need.
