The Axis W101 is a 2-megapixel body worn camera that is easy-to-use and suitable for a wide range of applications thanks to its robust design.
Based on open standards for flexibility and scalability users can use the W101 with their current Axis solution. This provides a new end-to-end Axis solution that includes Axis Camera Station VMS or Axis Insight. The unit can also be used with a third-party VMS (video management software) or EMS (evidence management software) either on-site of in the cloud.
The W101 body worn camera provides exceedingly sharp images in every frame and clear audio with noise suppression. Units come in black and white options enabling users to select the style that best suits their scenario.

Featuring Axis Zipstream technology, users can store large amounts of footage without having to compromise on video quality, both onsite and in the cloud. The mobile app makes viewing and labelling in the field, as well as finding and retreving evidence simple. Axis Edge Vault protects the Axis Device ID and simplifies authorisation of Axis devices on the network.
Axis Body Worn Assistant is an app (available for both iPhone and Android) that provides users with instant access to stored recording on their w101 cameras. Reporting can be started in the field by categorising a recording and attaching notes to it. This information then becomes part of the metadata that is automatically transferred off of the camera when it's docked. The live view function assists you to position the camera correctly on your body and can be used to view live action from around a corner or behind a barrier.
As well as this, the W101 features self-assign which lets the camera user assign and pick up any available body worn camera using an RFID tag. The users simply needs to swipe their ID tag to locate a camera, configured with specific user information, for the duration of their shift. This enables users on different shifts to share the same cameras.
