The Geovision GV-TDR2704 is a 2-megapixel mini fixed rugged dome camera that has been designed for outdoor use with its IP67 weather-resistant and IK10 vandal resistant housing. The camera's housing protects the camera against harsh outdoor weather conditions such as rain, as well as dust and the IK10 rating protects the camera against vandal attempts. This makes the camera ideal for use in a wide range of outdoor applications including to secure the outside of office buildings, home and shops.
As well as this the GV-TDR2704 comes with a choice of focal lengths, users can select either a 2.8mm or 4mm lens. The 2.8mm provides users with a 113° horizontal field of view and the 4mm provides a 91° horizontal field of view. The focal length options enable users to select which lens would best suit their application.
The GV-TDR2704 supports H.265 video codec which enables the camera to achieve a better compression ratio whilst maintaining high-quality images at reduced network bandwidths. Using the H.265 codec over H.264 saves users up to 80% on storage costs when compared to the costs of running on H.264.
This camera can be powered by either PoE (Power over Ethernet) or 12 V DC power supply, enabling users to select which best suits their requirements. We would normally recommend using PoE as this means you will only need to run one cable to the camera for both power and data.
Other features of the camera include; an automatic IR-cut filter and IR LEDs which allow the camera to provide surveillance in both day and night scenarios, a 3-axis mechanism (pan/tilt/rotate) for ease of installation, a built-in microSD/SDHC/SDXC/UHS-I for onboard storage and WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) Pro, enabling the camera to produce clear images regardless of conditions.
