Product Questions (10)

Can we add external Hard disk to increase recording capacity.
Hi there, I'm in interested in the answer to this question already asked, Can I buy the brackets though you? I already have the NVR.

Will the NVR fit into a 1U slot in an existing rack mount? Does it comes with rack mount brackets or are these available?
Question by: Jonathan on 2 May 2014 10:44:44
Hi Jonathan,
Yes 1U.
It's not supplied with rack-mount 'ears' but looks as if you could fit them. HikVision supply ears with the larger NVRs. You're the second person in 2 weeks to ask this, we're onto it :)
Answer by: Phil Stewkesbury (Admin) on 2 May 2014 10:44:44
I see from the pictures the power supply cable with UK plug. It even provided with different plug? (Schuko type)

1. What if 3x 3mp cams and 5x 1.3mp cams are running off the the 8 POE ports, could the NVR cope?

2. What would the power consumption be in the above case as I consider putting a UPS to supply power in case of power outage.

3. How many play back streams can the NVR handle concurrently?
4. If two 3TB disks are installed, does the NVR see them as two separate disks ( c: and d: ) or as one logical unit ? I presume that it fills up the first disk then second disk ?
5. If the first disk develops a fault while it is writing to the second disk, can the first disk be simply swap out without losing the configurations ? Or it needs reconfiguring ? Likewise if the second disk develops a fault ?

Will the NVR fit into a 1U slot in an existing rack mount? Does it comes with rack mount brackets or are these available?
Can you confirm that the 7608 NI SE/P-8 NVR has 8 separate ports each with PoE, and is powered from 240V AC, not 12V?
Can the 7608 NI SE/P-8 NVR have an external DVD recorder or hard disk on the USB port to transfer video files to?
What's it means by "NO HDD" ?
Can you confirm that this nvr has 8 physical ports with PoE. Also does it support the ds-2cd2032-I cameras. Will it allow all cameras to run at full 3mp with continuous recording.
Does this NVR allow remote access from the web please?
