Esprit Enhanced Positioning System
Pelco's Enhanced Positioning System features a pan/tilt enclosure and either an Integrated Optics Package (IOP) or a pressurised Integrated Optics Cartridge (IOC) in a single, easy-to-install system. Furthermore, the Esprit Enhanced Series variable pan and tilt speeds range from 0.1 to 80 degrees per second in manual pan mode, and 0.1 to 40 degrees per second in manual tilt.
The Esprit Enhanced Positioning System is suitable for indoor or outdoor applications, with a top operating temperature at 60°C. As well as this, a built-in heater, window defroster/defogger, and sun shroud are standard features on Esprit Enhanced cameras.
Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS)
Electronic image stabilisation can help compensate for some frequencies of vibration. Care should be taken to ensure that any positioning system is mounted to a rigid location. Users can turn EIS ON if vibration is affecting image quality. Although EIS can reduce the impact of vibration on image quality, it cannot correct for all levels of vibration. Other measures should be taken to isolate the camera from the source of the vibration or to seek a more rigid mounting location.
Pelco Advanced Analytics
The selection of analytics included in the ES6230-02 are made up of 2 basic and 8 enhanced user-configurable behaviours, with the camera being capable of running up to 2 enhanced and 2 basic behaviours together at one time.
Users can create several custom profiles for each behaviour, each containing different camera settings, allowing for the automatic detection and triggering of alarms for specific activity.
Supported Analytic Behaviours include:
Abandoned Object - Detects objects placed within a defined zone, triggering an alarm if one remains in a zone longer than the user-defined time allows. Examples - Can be used to detect suspicious items left in an airport terminal, or to detect objects left behind at an ATM, signalling possible card skimming.
Adaptive Motion Detection - Detects and tracks objects as they enter a scene, triggering an alarm if one enters a user-defined zone. Example - Can be used in outdoor environments with light traffic, as it helps to reduce the amount of false alarms triggered by environmental changes.
AutoTracker - Detects and tracks movement within the camera's field of view. Once the AutoTracker has been configured, the system automatically pans and tilts to follow a detected / specified moving object, until it stops or leaves the monitored area.
Camera Sabotage - Detects contrast changes within the camera's field of view, triggering an alarm if the lens becomes obstructed by spray paint, a cloth, or lens cap. An alarm is also triggered by any unauthorised camera re-positioning.
Directional Motion - Generates an alarm when a detected object moves in a specified direction, within an area of high traffic. Examples - Can be used to detect objects moving against the usual flow of traffic, or if an individual enters through an exit door.
Loitering Detection - Identifies when people or vehicles remain in a specified zone for longer than the user-defined time allows. This is effective in the monitoring and real-time notification of suspicious behaviour.
Object Counting - Counts the number of objects that enter a defined zone (Please Note: this behaviour is based on tracking, so can not be used to count people in a crowded setting) Example - Can be used to count the number of people at an entrance/exit or inside the monitored location.
Object Removal - Triggers an alarm if an object is removed from a user-defined zone. This is ideal for detecting the removal of high value objects. Example - Can be used to alert security is a painting is removed from a wall, or statue from its pedestal.
Stopped Vehicle - Detects vehicles stopped near sensitive locations for longer than the user-defined time allows. Examples - Can be used to monitor curbside drop-offs, suspicious parking, traffic lane breakdowns, or for parking enforcement.
