The OUTREACH Lite G XT delivers gigabit Ethernet at twice the normal distance, instantly doubling the network range to 200 metres (656 ft) This particular version is suitable for external installations. It has IP66/67, and Nema 4X/6P ratings ensuring it is protected from harsh elements.
Gigabit Ethernet is commonly used for LAN installations, although 100Base-TX is often used for single IP camera connections. As IP devices become more diverse, many applications demand network connections that exceed the maximum 100m distance limit for cabled Ethernet.
Simple to install, the OUTREACH Lite G takes advantage of the universal 802.3af/at/bt POE standards, so it can draw its own power from the network connection. No local power is required, therefore it can be installed exactly where required. Simply connect the OUTREACH Lite G in the middle of a network cable run to double the available range to 200m.
OUTREACH devices are ideal for Ethernet extension to 200m or 300m. The POE power source required will depend on the distance to the powered camera/device, and the power requirement of that device. Please see the below table, the power levels quoted below assume the use of high quality Cat6 Ethernet cabling. Smaller gauges may result in high losses and reduced power delivery.
If required, it is possible to daisy-chain further OUTREACH devices to achieve distances up to 700m or even beyond. However, it is recommended that the Veracity LONGSPAN long distance range should be used for this applications.
Diagram 1 - The OUTREACH Lite GXT is powered by POE, and can be used to double gigabit Ethernet range, without requiring local power.
Diagram 2 - If there is no POE available, users can upgrade the link with Veracity's low cost POE injector OUTSOURCE.

Ethernet Only - When only an Ethernet extension is required, the OUTREACH Lite models extend Ethernet only and do not forward POE.
POE Forwarding - If POE Forwarding is required as well as an Ethernet extension the it is recommended to use the OUTREACH Max models. These support all standards of POE forwarding.
External Units - If you require Ethernet extension suitable for outdoor use then the OUTREACH XT models are most suited. With IP67/Nema4X/6P standard enclosures and connections, this range will be well protected from the elements.
Gigabit Option - When a Gigabit Ethernet extensions is required, users will need to use the OUTREACH G models as these support full Gigabit data rates.
