Axis Perimeter Defender is a highly accurate and scalable video analytics application for intrusion detection. It is ideal for high-security locations such as power and chemical plants.
Acting as the first layer of defence, the Axis Perimeter Defender gives users an edge where security starts - on the perimeter of the facility. The analytical application works together with Axis cameras to provide a highly effective system that automatically detects and responds to humans and vehicles intruding on the property. Reinforcing physical access controls is suitable for use in high-security sights such as chemical plants and prisons. The Axis Perimeter Defender is also approved for UK government use (Please contact CPNI for more information).
Running onboard the camera, the Axis Perimeter Defender supports multiple detection scenarios including:
- Intrusion: When a person or vehicle enters a predefined zone.
- Loitering: When a person or vehicle passes through two predefined zones in a predetermined order and direction
- Zone Crossing: When a person or vehicle remains in a predefined zone for longer than a predefined time.
- Conditional Zone Crossing: When a person or vehicle enters a predefined zone without first entering from or passing through one or more predefined zones.
Axis Perimeter Defender is designed to detect moving people and also vehicles up to 12m in length. It is able to successfully detect humans and vehicles which allows users to select if they want to monitor either one or the other, or both.
After one day of installation, the application can detect between day and night and uses this information to adapt the algorithm for optimal performance in all light scenarios.
Furthermore, the Axis Perimeter Defender application integrates with the Axis camera's event management features. this allows users to decide how they want the system to automatically respond to intruder alerts. Once the application detects intrusion, it triggers the camera to send live video footage and email alerts to security staff, allowing them to take immediate and preventative measures where necessary.

We offer free delivery on all orders over £50 via courier throughout the mainland UK. You will receive a confirmation email from us as soon as your goods are dispatched, and this will confirm your carrier and tracking number so you can monitor your order's progress. We are also able to offer shipping to any country in the world. We charge a flat fee of £15 + VAT for any country within Europe, which will be available to you at checkout if your country is listed on our International Shipping page.
