The Hkvision DS-2CD2586G2-IS is a 4K (8 megapixel) mini dome IP camera featuring AcuSense and Darkfighter technologies. Mini dome cameras are ideal for discreet installations due to their compact size, commonly used at entrances, porches, or meeting rooms.
Empowered by deep learning algorithms, Hikvision AcuSense technology brings human and vehicle target classification alarms to front and back end devices. AcuSense technology focuses on human and vehicle targets, vastly improving alarm efficiency and effectiveness.
In order to provide high quality images in 4K, the DS-2CD2586G2-IS features 120 dB WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) which supports clear imaging against strong back-light. And, in addition to Darkfighter technology which improves the cameras performance in low light conditions, the mini dome features built-in IR LEDs which reach a distance up to 30 metres, illuminating the scene when in darkness.
With a rating of IP67, the DS-2CD2586G2-IS is resistant to water, dust and dirt ingress making it suitable for use outdoors or in partiularly dusty environments such as workshops. Furthermore the camera housing has a vandal resistant rating of IK08.
On-board the DS-2CD2586G2-IS is a built-in memory card slot which supports a Micro SD card for on-board storage, this is ideal for those that are using the camera independently from an NVR. Also onboard is a built in microphone to add another level of evidence if required, as well as audio and alarm input and output lines allowing users to add third party devices where required.
The DS-2CD2586G2-IS can be powered via 12 V DC mains supply although we recommend using POE for ease of installation as only one network cable is required. Please note that the DS-2CD2586G2-IS is not sold with a power supply. So if you do not plan to connect directly to a NVR which provides POE you will require a POE injector or a POE switch (depending on how many devices you wish to power and add to your network). Or, if you are planning to power via the mains you will require the Hikvision HIKV12VDC 12V DC PSU for Hikvision Cameras.
