The Hikvision DS-2CD2086G2-IU/SL is an 8 megapixel mini bullet network camera. It is the first of it's type to feature an 8MP resolution, AcuSense technology as well as Live-Guard audio and strobe light alarm. Available in a 2.8mm or 4mm fixed lens, the 2.8mm provides a horizontal field of view of 110° whilst the 4mm provides a horizontal field of view of 88°.
AcuSense technology uses deep learning algorithms to successfully determine humans and vehicles to improve alarm efficiency. In turn it greatly reduces the number of false alarms that were previously triggered by foliage, heavy rainfall, pets and wildlife to name a few. The deep learning function enables face capture, line crossing detection, intrusion detection, region entrance detection and region exiting detection whilst being able to determine the difference between humans and vehicles.
Other features such as 120 dB WDR (Wide Dynamic Range), BLC (Backlight Compensation), HLC (Highlight Compensation) and 3D DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) also help the DS-2CD2583G2-IS to produce clear and crisp images even if the light is challenging or contrasting. To further support low light image quality, the DS-2CD2086G2-IU/SL features built-in IR LEDS which can illuminate the scene for up to 40 metres.
Users can mount the DS-2CD2086G2-IU/SL indoors or outdoors thanks to it's IP67 water and dust resistant rating and IK10 Vandal Resistant rating. On board the mini dome is a slot for a microSD/SDHC/SDXC memory card for on-board recording. It also features a built in microphone which can record sounds up to 5 metres away. This is ideal for surveillance in close proximity such as drive ways, garages and courtyards.
We recommend the DS-2CD2086G2-IU/SL is powered via POE (Power over Ethernet) for ease of installation as only one cable is required to provide the mini dome with both power and data connections. However, if required the camera can be powered by 12V DC. Please note that a power supply is not included with the purchase but we have listed our recommended option in the Frequently Brought Together section.
Please note, we strongly recommend using the latest second generation Easy IP 4.0 range with the -I series NVRs by Hikvision due to ongoing compatibility issues with the -K series NVRs. For more information, please see our Technical Forum.Dimensions
