Is it recommended to do a factory reset after installing new firmware? I've certainly installed 5/6/7.....firmware and maybe more.I'm thinking of doing a factory reset, after updating several times with new firmware.
What effect does the factory reset have on the device?

Not reset mine as it's working fine after the install.

I didn't have any problems with the new firmware, I'm just wondering if it's sometimes necessary to do a factory reset.

I'd say not for a (this) minor update... it may be necessary if installing a major update or rolling back... usually, if there are no issues, there's no reason to do a factory reset!
