Could you have a view of the car and number plate at 20met. The area is well lighted and we are thinking of supplying this to our client who requires a description of the vehicle as well as a reg. We will adjust the WDR to assist.

It's not ideal; at its narrowest field of view (9mm) and a distance of 20m, the delivered scene width would be 10m, so a car would only be filling about 1/4 of the screen width and the number plate would be fairly tiny.
Realistically, from a distance of 20m you'd want a lens focal length of approx 30mm to deliver a scene width of about 3m; filling your view with the vehicle and giving a large clear number plate. You'll only achieve a 30mm lens focal length by utilising a body camera and a 5-50mm vari-focal lens. Of course nothing except a specialist ANPR camera will read number plates 24hrs per day e.g. a facing car with headlights on.
